Meet Sierra (:

Hey guys! (: So, I kind of just wanted to keep a record of what I will be doing/fasting and what I'm hoping God will do! So, without further or do here is my list of things I will be fasting until August 22nd. 

• Facebook and Twitter
• Limited one on one time with my boyfriend to once a week unless a family event or outing
• Spend time with God everyday (reading my bible/prayer journal)
• Saying goodbye to any secular music

I am planning on meeting with the other girls doing this fast on Wednesday nights before church service starts at 6 pm. This will be a time other then here on the blog for us to discuss how God is moving and pray with each other and grow our friendships. We are also going to try to hang out as much as possible together to help each other. And through getting spiritually fit together, we also want to get physically fit together! So we will also try to workout together sometimes. ( Acts 20:24 "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.") 

What I am hoping to get out of this is to rekindle my intimate relationship with my Father. I want to hear His voice and reveal to me the specific ministry he wants to use me in. All of the girls are going to be working through 1 Thess. and 2 Thess. and Titus at the moment. I can't wait to get started! (: 

The point of this blog!(:

Hello to all who may have stumbled across this blog! I am so glad you are here(: The sole purpose of this blog is for me(Sierra) and my friends Erinn, Alisha, and Alli to stay connected while we endeavor into a fast we chose to do together. We have all committed to give up things that are distracting us from our relationship with God. For me, it is things like makeup, secular music, spending too much time with my boyfriend, and things of that nature. For the other girls, they gave up things they felt like they needed to give up! So, we will be posting on here different things that God is revealing to us in our extra time with Him and also if we are struggling and asking for prayer support. So, from now on we will mostly be addressing each other and not as much you as the audience. But feel free to read all of the wonderful things God is going to be doing in each of our lives. Our fast is going to be starting tomorrow, July 1st and going until I leave for college on August 22nd. Happy Reading! (:
